Full Disk Sisal buffs are used for cut down operations of ferrous metals and are used with a steel cutting compound. Sisal buffs are available in 4" to 20" diameters with standard spiral sewing of 1/4" or 3/8" spacing. The standard thickness of sisal buffs is 8 ply, but can vary depending on the application.
These buffs alternate cloth and sisal ply to create the desired firmness of the buffs. The use of cloth in this buff aids in compound retention and softens the buff for contoured parts.
The combination of cloth and sisal provides cutting action and high color; on steel and aluminum parts.
Loose Full Disk cloth buffs are made with one row of sewing around the arbor hole. These buffs are soft and are flexible. It is ideal for reaching uneven surfaces while buffing or coloring metals, hard rubber, marble and plastics.
Spiral and Concentric Sewn
Sewn Full Disk buffs are harder than loose buffs and as a result can be used for cut and color of flat and more accessible surfaces of all metals. Sewn Buffs are constructed of Unbleached Muslin, Mill Treated Cloth, or Flannel.
